DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL) is excited to announce the official opening of their Forest Discovery Center\, a hub for environmental education\, forest exploration\, and community connection. \n\n\n\nLocated in Downtown Anacortes at 404 Commercial Avenue\, the Forest Discovery Center will open to the public on June 13\, 2025 with a ribbon cutting at noon\, and will begin welcoming visitors every Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. \n\n\n\nDesigned to engage guests of all ages\, the Forest Discovery Center features interactive exhibits\, educational displays\, and hands-on activities highlighting the ecology\, history\, and stewardship of the Anacortes Community Forest Lands.  From forest wildlife to native plants and sustainable trail use\, the FDC invites guests to deepen their connection with this beloved local treasure.  \n\n\n\nAdmission is free\, and all are welcome to stop by during open hours. \n\n\n\nTo learn more about the Forest Discovery Center and upcoming events\, visit www.friendsoftheacfl.org or follow Friends of the ACFL on social media.
