In 2025\, we launched a seasonal \;
Adventure Series \;designed to help people get outside and explore our beautiful backyard at an economical fare. Most Adventure Series trips are just $45 roundtrip for adults (a 50% savings from our standard fares)\, making non-ferry served island access more attainable for our community.
\nOur Adventure Series focuses on creating space for people to connect with the natural world: hiking island trails\, picnicking on remote beaches\, visiting marine state parks\, and enjoying bird and wildlife observation through a &ldquo\;create your own adventure&rdquo\; format.

\nThese trips are self-guided experiences - we provide the ride and the access\, and you set the pace and plan your day. There&rsquo\;s no formal guide on site\, giving you the freedom to explore the island on your own terms and craft an adventure that&rsquo\;s entirely your own.

\nSaturday\, April 4th we will be heading to
James Island State Park &ndash\; a true gem tucked into Rosario Strait. Panoramic views of Mount Baker and the surrounding San Juan Islands offer a postcard-worthy backdrop. A scenic 1.5-mile loop trail winds through forest and up to open bluff viewpoints. Pack a picnic and settle onto the beach\, explore the tide line\, or simply soak in the salt air and sweeping island views. James Island is the perfect destination for a relaxed day of hiking\, beachcombing\, and unplugging in the San Juans.

\nThe boat will depart Skyline Marina at 11am with a 30 minute travel time to the island. The boat will pick up at James Island at 2:30pm to return to Skyline Marina. \;
